Google hates animals and loves guns!

leave a comment »

This may be old news, but I recently just came across it. Google posted this response to the matter. I’ve posted the man with a gun below, but if you want to see what happened to the deer I will link to it, just in case you don’t want to see it. (Google did say, that the deer did walk away after the incident.) [Post from ValleyWag]

iPhone 3.0 Update

leave a comment »

To get straight to the point, these are the announced features for the iPhone 3.0 update release. You will be able to use your current iPhone 3G, you will not need another phone.

  • Search Function, The new search feature will allow you to search anything on the phone such as; apps, mail (including on server), and contacts. (Spotlight Search)
  • Custom Device Controls, This will allow you to control an external device; such as speakers, etc.
  • Turn by Turn Directions, Basically making your iPhone a GPS :)
  • Cut, Copy & Paste, Self explanatory.
  • Send multiple pictures, You may now send multiple pictures in emails.
  • Landscape Mode, You may now use landscape mode to write and send emails and sms messages.
  • MMS, You may now send audio and photos over text messaging (SMS)
  • Stream Music via Bluetooth, You may now stream music to a supported bluetooth stereo.
  • Peer to Peer Communication, iPhones will be able to communicate via Bluetooth together.

Something to think about; Will Apple release another iPhone 3G with upgraded hardware? With so many new features, will the current chipset be fast enough?!?!

Seriously, it’s not a sale!

leave a comment »

I’ve been talking about the whole Circuit City business, and how they’re going out of business. They are in fact going out of business, if you’ve had the time to check their website, www.circuitcity.com, they have the PR release and such. But anyways now continuing the draft, so that I could actually go to there and see what was going on, first of all the lines were Black Friday all over again and the sale prices are not even worth the effort of standing in the line. Some example sale prices are, 10% off all video games, 30% off cables, at most it’s 30% off of certain items (a nice big sign telling you that when you walk in the doors). In my opinion you can get the same thing, just as cheap from Amazon or even Steam (for video games). I’m sure that the prices will go down, but most companies will make the announcement that they are indeed going under, take a couple dollars off a product (still selling at msrp) and then eventually lowering the price; they still have to pay off the creditors! I do welcome your comments, I would like to hear what other people think!

My indispensable FireFox Addons

leave a comment »

I’ve been having a couple friends asking me what I’ve been using for firefox a lot lately, so here are to the tools that help me get more done.

TwitterFox- Notifies you of your friends updates, also allows you to update directly from Firefox.

Foxmarks- Foxmarks Sync’s all of my bookmarks on all installations of firefox on all of my computers.

Flagfox- Tells me where the current website I’m viewing, where there web server is located; also including the ip address of the server(s).

Firebug- A great tool for both web designers and web developers, helping you to inspect and edit html and css files, debug javascript, and monitor network and file usage; including loading times!

FirePHP- A great firefox extension to debug ajax, using a php call function.

Google Gears- Google Gears allows you to let normal web applications operate offline in a desktop environment. Its a great application for WordPress installations, Google Docs, and Myspace (If you still use it).

Prism- Prism is a great firefox addon for making websites launch as a normal application on your desktop. This addon will work with any website, twitter, facebook, google. Check it out for yourself!

Know any other good addons please post a comment and let me know!

Horse fat in fabric softener

leave a comment »

Every time I recive a new issue of Wired, I open it straight to the ‘Whats inside’ section. Basically telling you whats inside the products we use everyday. The newest issue looks at the ingredients of Downy fabric softener; thus this product contains horse fat which is the part of the chemical that softens your fabrics :)

Looking at the back of a container of Downy reads: ‘Ingredients: Contains biodegradable fabric softener agents (cationics).’ You know the really sad thing is that when you buy something, you really don’t know whats in it anymore.

No Third Party, Meh

with one comment

Why can’t there be presidential debates with third party candidates? It seems from what I’ve read and heard, is that most debates are sponsored by: Commission on Presidential Debates. On which this organization is actually funded or shall I say recive donations from a several amount of major donors, **cough** republicans, and democrats. Politics really irritate me, as people can probably tell. So what I don’t understand is why can’t third parties be in the debates also, I think it would really mix it up, and then again maybe that’s why no one wants them in?!?!?

G1 Phone a POS!?!?

with 2 comments

I’ve been reading about the G1; Google Phone since about 2006 when the rumors started. Now that some people have gotten their hands on one to test it, such as Engadget… I’ve been reading a bit more. The overall design isn’t that great looking, but who care’s if you’ve got a great phone that work’s amazingly well. I’m actually going to switch to ATT, thus I will be getting an iPhone (I know, I’m kinda slow). I acctually thought about waiting and getting the G1 until I heard that T-Mobile got the contract, bad move Google! Anyways from the reviews I’ve heard so far the G1 is just a failure at this point until they maybe release a new version, and improved version of Android… maybe it’s just me and I’m negitive about the whole thing.

Google Now Supports RSS Updates?!?!

leave a comment »

I was just browsing around for some opinions on decent domain name auctions around, Ah! there it is… I see it! Below the title of the search result I just noticed, ‘2 posts – 2 authors – Last Post: Mar 26, 2007′. Since when did Google start updating when forum posts have been updated, thats a pretty awesome feature!
